We Geocache as a Family…

All 4 of us enjoy geocaching, I think because it’s like treasure hunting. It give us things to do as a family and gets us out of the house. We track through the woods or down the road looking for the hidden caches.

What Equipment do we use?

Our GPS tracker is an iPhone 4s. We purchased the app from for $9.99, it works on both Shannon and I’s phone. It still cheaper than a handheld GPS and I honestly think it works better than a regular¬†GPS

Our bag contains a couple of pencils (in case there isn’t one), some toys to trade out (take something / leave something), a small knife, a pad of paper, and my Masonic stamped pennies. I decided to leave a masonic stamp penny after I found one. If you’re walking take a water or two as well.
